Where is the fuel filter on 2006 freelander td4?

Step 1: Assemble Your Materials

You will need the following materials to complete this project:

* Oil Filter Wrench

* 10 mm Socket

* Torque Wrench

* Replacement Fuel Filter (Part Number LR005271)

* Diesel Fuel

Step 2: Locate the Fuel Filter

The fuel filter on the 2006 Freelander TD4 is located under the bonnet (hood) on the passenger side of the engine bay. It is a black cylindrical housing with a single fuel line connected to it.

Step 3: Remove the Fuel Line

Use a 10 mm socket to loosen the bolt that secures the fuel line to the fuel filter. Be careful not to drop the bolt into the engine bay. Once the bolt is loose, pull the fuel line off of the fuel filter.

Step 4: Remove the Old Fuel Filter

Use an oil filter wrench to loosen the fuel filter housing. Be careful not to spill any fuel. Once the fuel filter housing is loose, remove it from the engine bay.

Step 5: Replace the Fuel Filter

Remove the old fuel filter from the housing and discard it. Lubricate the new fuel filter with a thin layer of clean diesel fuel. Install the new fuel filter into the housing and tighten it by hand.

Step 6: Tighten the Fuel Line

Reattach the fuel line to the fuel filter housing and tighten the bolt until it is snug.

Step 7: Start the Engine

Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Check for any leaks around the fuel filter. If there are no leaks, turn off the engine.
