1. Park the car on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Engage the parking brake.
3. Open the hood.
4. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
5. Locate the fuel filter. It is located on the driver's side of the engine, near the fuel tank.
6. Remove the fuel filter bracket by loosening the two bolts that hold it in place.
7. Remove the old fuel filter from the bracket.
8. Install the new fuel filter in the bracket.
9. Reinstall the fuel filter bracket and tighten the bolts.
10. Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
11. Start the engine and check for leaks.

- Be careful not to spill any fuel when disconnecting the fuel lines.
