How do you remove the steering box on a 1966 Ford Thunderbird?

Tools Needed:

- Wrenches

- Socket set

- Pry bar

- Hammer

Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. This will prevent any accidental electrical shocks while you are working.

2. Remove the four bolts that hold the steering box in place. These bolts are located on the top and bottom of the steering box.

3. Remove the steering column. To do this, you will need to remove the four bolts that hold the column in place. These bolts are located on the top and bottom of the column.

4. Once the steering column is removed, you will be able to remove the steering box. To do this, you will need to pry the steering box off of the frame. Be careful not to damage the frame or the steering box.

5. Once the steering box is removed, you can install the new one. To do this, simply reverse the steps that you took to remove the old steering box.
