- Flat head screwdriver
- Phillips head screwdriver
- New bulb # 3157-LL
Here's a general guide on how to replace the bulb:
1. Open the trunk.
2. Locate the rear light housing. The rear light housing is located on the inside of the trunk lid, behind the rear window.
3. Remove the screws holding the light housing in place. There are two screws that hold the light housing in place. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove these screws.
4. Remove the light housing from the trunk lid. Once the screws are removed, you can carefully pry the light housing out of the trunk lid.
5. Locate the burnt-out bulb. The bulb you need to replace is the one that is located at the top of the housing.
6. Remove the old bulb. Gently turn the bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the light socket.
7. Insert the new bulb. Insert the new bulb into the light socket and turn it clockwise until it is secure.
8. Reinstall the light housing in the trunk lid. Carefully align the light housing with the holes in the trunk lid and insert the screws you removed earlier. Tighten the screws using the Phillips head screwdriver.
9. Close the trunk.
Your rear window brake light should now be working again.
Note: It's crucial to disconnect the car battery before starting this process to prevent any electrical shocks or damage to the vehicle's electrical system.
