1. Park the vehicle in a safe location and turn off the engine.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the fuel filler cap to relieve fuel tank pressure.
4. Locate the fuel pump access panel under the vehicle, near the fuel tank.
5. Remove the fuel pump access panel.
6. Disconnect the fuel lines and electrical connectors from the fuel pump.
7. Remove the lock ring holding the fuel pump in place.
8. Remove the fuel pump from the vehicle.
9. Inspect the fuel pump for damage or wear.
10. Replace the fuel pump with a new one, using a new lock ring.
11. Reconnect the fuel lines and electrical connectors.
12. Reinstall the fuel pump access panel.
13. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
14. Start the vehicle and check for leaks.
