Why when I put gas in our Durango does the always burp back out of tank and on to ground side car?

Here are a few possible reasons why gas might burp back out of your Durango's tank and onto the ground:

- Your gas cap may be loose. Make sure the gas cap is on tightly and completely sealed. A loose gas cap can allow air to enter the fuel tank, which can cause the gas to expand and overflow when you fill up.

- Your fuel tank may be overfilled. When you fill up your gas tank, be careful not to overfill it. Overfilling the fuel tank can cause gas to spill out when you remove the gas nozzle.

- Your fuel tank vent may be clogged. The fuel tank vent is a small opening that allows air to enter and exit the fuel tank. If the vent becomes clogged, it can create pressure inside the fuel tank and cause gas to spill out.

- There may be a leak in your fuel system. If you see gas dripping from your vehicle, it's possible that you have a leak in your fuel system. Have your vehicle inspected by a mechanic as soon as possible.
