- Fuel filter housing o-ring (Rubber seal ring - MB:0079971040)
- Clean diesel fuel or petroleum jelly
- Drain pan

2. Locate the fuel filter.
- The fuel filter is located on the driver's side of the engine, just below the air filter housing.
3. Disconnect the fuel lines.
- Use a screwdriver to loosen the clamps on the fuel lines and then pull the lines off.
- Be careful not to spill any diesel fuel.
4. Remove the filter housing.
- Use a 10 mm wrench to loosen the bolt holding the filter housing in place. You may need to use the flat screwdriver to pry the housing up a bit.

5. Install the new fuel filter and o-ring.
- Insert the new fuel filter element into the housing and replace the o-ring.
6. Reinstall the filter housing and torque the bolt to 22 Nm (16 lb-ft).
7. Reconnect the fuel lines.
8. Start the engine and check for leaks.
- Make sure that there are no leaks from the fuel filter housing or the fuel lines.
Tips:
- Changing the fuel filter every 30,000 km (18,000 miles) or 24 months is recommended to keep your engine running smoothly.
- If you have trouble removing the old fuel filter, you can try using a fuel filter wrench.
- Be careful not to spill any diesel fuel; it is flammable.
