Procedure:
1. Disconnect the battery: Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to avoid any electrical sparks during the process.
2. Locate the Steering Wheel Lock Cylinder Cover: The ignition cylinder is located behind the Steering Wheel Lock Cylinder Cover on the steering column.
3. Remove the Steering Wheel Lock Cylinder Cover: Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry open the Steering Wheel Lock Cylinder Cover.
4. Remove the Ignition Lock Cylinder Retaining Screw: Locate the screw that secures the ignition cylinder in place. Remove the screw using the appropriate size screwdriver.
5. Remove the Locking Mechanism: Use a pair of pliers to pull the locking mechanism out of the ignition cylinder.
6. Remove the Ignition Cylinder: Slide the ignition cylinder out of the steering column.
7. Install the Replacement Ignition Cylinder: Slide the replacement ignition cylinder into the steering column.
8. Secure the Ignition Cylinder: Install the ignition lock cylinder retaining screw to secure the ignition cylinder.
9. Replace the Locking Mechanism: Insert the locking mechanism back into the ignition cylinder and secure it using the pliers.
10. Replace the Steering Wheel Lock Cylinder Cover: Snap the Steering Wheel Lock Cylinder Cover back into place.
11. Connect the battery: Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
Test the Ignition Cylinder: Insert your key into the ignition cylinder and turn it to check if the ignition cylinder is functioning correctly.
