How do you replace brake master cylinder on 2000 dodge neon?

Tools and Materials:

- New brake master cylinder

- Brake fluid

- 10mm wrench

- 13mm wrench

- Pliers

- Funnel

Instructions:

1. Park your car on a level surface and turn off the engine.

2. Open the hood of your car.

3. Locate the brake master cylinder. It is a cylindrical-shaped object with a black cap on top.

4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the brake master cylinder.

5. Use a 10mm wrench to loosen the brake lines from the brake master cylinder. There are two brake lines, one on the front and one on the back of the master cylinder.

6. Use a 13mm wrench to remove the mounting bolts that hold the brake master cylinder in place. There are two bolts, one on each side of the master cylinder.

7. Remove the brake master cylinder from the car.

8. Install the new brake master cylinder.

9. Re-install the mounting bolts and tighten them securely.

10. Re-install the brake lines and tighten them securely.

11. Re-install the electrical connector to the brake master cylinder.

12. Fill the brake master cylinder with brake fluid to the "Full" mark.

13. Test the brakes to make sure they are working properly.

Note:

- It is important to use the correct type of brake fluid for your car. The type of brake fluid is specified in your car's owner's manual.

- When filling the brake master cylinder with brake fluid, be careful not to spill any brake fluid on the paint of your car. Brake fluid can damage paint.
