How do you change radiator in a 98 Ford Ranger?

Here are the steps to change a radiator on a 1998 Ford Ranger:

1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and let the engine cool down.

2. Raise the front of the vehicle with a jack and support it securely with jack stands.

3. Locate the radiator drain plug on the bottom of the radiator. Open the drain plug and allow all of the coolant to drain into a catch pan.

4. Disconnect the upper and lower radiator hoses from the radiator.

5. Disconnect the transmission oil cooler lines from the radiator, if equipped.

6. Remove the radiator support bracket from the top of the radiator.

7. Lift the radiator out of the vehicle.

8. Install the new radiator in the vehicle.

9. Reattach the radiator support bracket to the top of the radiator.

10. Reconnect the transmission oil cooler lines to the radiator, if equipped.

11. Reconnect the upper and lower radiator hoses to the radiator.

12. Fill the radiator with new coolant.

13. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to circulate the coolant.

14. Check the coolant level and add more coolant if necessary.
