1. 10mm socket
2. ratchet
3. timing light
4. jumper wire
Instructions
1. Start by locating the timing marks on the engine. The timing marks are located on the harmonic balancer and the timing cover.
2. Attach the timing light to the number one spark plug wire.
3. Connect the jumper wire to the negative terminal on the battery and to the "B" terminal on the timing light.
4. Start the engine and let it idle.
5. Aim the timing light at the timing marks.
6. Adjust the distributor until the timing marks are aligned.
7. Tighten the distributor hold-down bolt.
8. Turn off the engine and disconnect the jumper wire.
9. Reinstall the spark plug wire.
Make sure to double-check the timing after you have made the adjustments.
