Instructions:

Important: Place the truck in “PARK,” apply the parking brake, and chock the wheels.

WARNING: Never put any part of your body under the truck while it is only supported by the jack. Jack stands are required for safety before getting underneath the vehicle.

1. Lift and support the front of your vehicle with the jack.

2. Place jack stands on both sides of the truck supporting frame behind the front tires or in front of the back wheels.

3. Remove the front and rear wheels from the truck.

4. Use a flat head screwdriver to pry open the dust cover on the top of the shock absorber. This may be difficult on older trucks.

5. Use a 15mm socket wrench to remove the nut from the top of the shock absorber.

6. Remove the shock absorber from the truck.

7. Repeat steps 4-6 for the remaining shocks.

8. Once all the shocks have been removed, install the new shocks in the reverse order of removal.

9. Start by inserting the top of the shock absorber through the mounting hole in the frame.

10. Place the lock washer and then the nut onto the top of the shock absorber.

11. Tighten the nut with a 15mm socket wrench.

12. Repeat steps 9-11 for the remaining shocks.

13. Replace the dust covers.

14. Once all the shocks are installed, remove the jack stands and lower the vehicle.
