1. Disconnect the battery. This is located in the trunk of the car, under the floor mat.
2. Remove the headlight assembly. There are two screws that hold the headlight assembly in place. One is located at the top of the assembly, and the other is located at the bottom.
3. Remove the bulb holder. The bulb holder is held in place by a single screw. Once the screw is removed, you can pull the bulb holder out of the assembly.
4. Remove the old dim dip resistor. The dim dip resistor is located on the back of the bulb holder. It is a small, rectangular-shaped component.
5. Install the new dim dip resistor. Push the new dim dip resistor into the socket on the back of the bulb holder.
6. Reinstall the bulb holder. Insert the bulb holder back into the headlight assembly, and secure it in place with the screw.
7. Reinstall the headlight assembly. Insert the headlight assembly back into the car, and secure it in place with the two screws.
8. Reconnect the battery.
Once the new dim dip resistor is installed, you can turn the headlights on and test the brightness of the lights. If the lights are still dim, you may need to replace the headlight bulbs.
