- Park the tractor on a level surface.
- Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
- Engage the parking brake.
- Remove the radiator cap.
Step 2: Locate the drain cock
- The drain is located at the bottom of the radiator. It is usually a petcock or a 1/2-inch bolt.
- If the radiator is equipped with a petcock, simply turn it counterclockwise to open it.
- If the radiator is equipped with a bolt, you will need to use a wrench to loosen it.
Step 3: Drain the radiator
- Place a container under the drain to catch the coolant.
- Allow the coolant to drain completely. This may take several minutes.
Step 4: Close the drain cock
- Once the radiator is drained, close the drain cock.
- Tighten the bolt, if necessary.
Step 5: Refill the radiator
- Use a funnel to add new coolant to the radiator.
- Fill the radiator to the proper level, which is usually marked on the radiator.
- Replace the radiator cap.
Remember to recycle the old coolant and dispose of it properly according to your local regulations.
