Do gasoline lines still freeze with E10?
Ethanol can absorb small amounts of water, which can then freeze at normal winter temperatures, blocking fuel filters and lines and preventing an engine from starting. To address this issue, most modern vehicles are equipped with fuel-line antifreeze or other additives to prevent freezing. Additionally, fuel stations typically add their own antifreeze additives to help prevent gasoline lines from freezing. These measures, combined with the lower freezing point of ethanol (-114°C) compared to water (0°C), have largely eliminated the problem of gasoline lines freezing with E10.
