1. Gather the necessary tools and materials:
- Phillips head screwdriver
- New cargo light bulb (refer to your owner's manual for the correct bulb type)
2. Locate the cargo light housing:
- Open the rear liftgate of your Expedition.
- Look for the cargo light housing located on the ceiling of the cargo area. It is usually near the rear door or tailgate.
3. Remove the cargo light housing:
- Use a Phillips head screwdriver to loosen the screw that secures the cargo light housing in place.
- Carefully pry the housing free from the ceiling liner. Be careful not to damage the housing or the wires attached to it.
4. Replace the cargo light bulb:
- Twist the old cargo light bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the socket.
- Insert the new cargo light bulb into the socket and turn it clockwise until it is secure.
5. Reinstall the cargo light housing:
- Position the cargo light housing back into the ceiling liner and align the screw hole.
- Insert the screw you removed earlier and tighten it until the housing is secure.
6. Test the cargo light:
- Turn on the interior lights of your Expedition to check if the new cargo light works.
That's it! You have successfully replaced the rear interior cargo light on your Ford Expedition.
