Where is the fuse box for a 2003 vw golf?

There are two fuse boxes in a 2003 VW Golf: one in the engine compartment and one in the passenger compartment.

Engine Compartment Fuse Box

The engine compartment fuse box is located on the driver's side of the engine compartment, near the battery. It is a black plastic box with a red cover.

Passenger Compartment Fuse Box

The passenger compartment fuse box is located on the driver's side of the dashboard, under the steering wheel. It is a black plastic box with a gray cover.

Fuse Diagrams

The fuse diagrams for both fuse boxes are located on the inside of the fuse box covers. The diagrams show the location and amperage of each fuse.

Fuse Removal and Replacement

To remove a fuse, use the fuse puller tool that is located in the passenger compartment fuse box. Pry the fuse puller tool under the fuse and pull it out.

To replace a fuse, insert the new fuse into the fuse slot and press it down until it clicks into place.

Important Safety Information

Before working on the fuse boxes, be sure to turn off the engine and allow the vehicle to cool down. Always use the fuse puller tool to remove and replace fuses. Never use your fingers to remove or replace fuses, as this could result in electrical shock.
