Tools and Materials Needed:

- Replacement fuel pump

- Fuel line disconnect tool

- Screwdriver

- Pliers

- Rags

- Safety goggles

Instructions:

1. Prepare the vehicle. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine. Engage the parking brake and chock the wheels. Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical accidents.

2. Locate the fuel pump. The fuel pump is located under the rear seat of the Saab 900. To access the fuel pump, you will need to remove the rear seat. To do this, pull up on the front edge of the seat until it unhooks, then slide the seat forward and out of the vehicle.

3. Disconnect the fuel lines. There are two fuel lines that connect to the fuel pump: the supply line and the return line. To disconnect the fuel lines, use a fuel line disconnect tool. Be careful not to spill any fuel.

4. Remove the fuel pump. Once the fuel lines are disconnected, you can remove the fuel pump. To do this, use a screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the fuel pump in place. Then, lift the fuel pump out of the vehicle.

5. Install the new fuel pump. To install the new fuel pump, simply reverse the steps that you took to remove the old fuel pump. Be sure to tighten all of the screws securely.

6. Reconnect the fuel lines. Once the fuel pump is installed, you can reconnect the fuel lines. To do this, use a fuel line disconnect tool. Be careful not to spill any fuel.

7. Test the fuel pump. Once the fuel lines are reconnected, you can test the fuel pump. To do this, turn on the ignition and listen for the fuel pump to run. If the fuel pump is running, you will hear a humming noise.

8. Reinstall the rear seat. Once the fuel pump is tested, you can reinstall the rear seat. To do this, slide the seat into the vehicle and then hook the front edge of the seat into place.

9. Reconnect the battery. Finally, reconnect the battery. Your Saab 900 is now ready to drive.
