1. Park the car on level ground and turn off the engine. Allow the engine to cool down completely before proceeding.
2. Raise the front of the car using a car jack and secure it in place with jack stands. Make sure the car is stable and won't slip off the jack stands.
3. Locate the radiator drain plug. It is usually a small plastic or metal plug located at the bottom of the radiator, near the water pump. On the Laguna it's a plastic screw cap facing the front of the car, with a 22mm hex head.
4. Place a drain pan underneath the drain plug to catch the coolant. Make sure the drain pan is large enough to hold the entire contents of the radiator.
5. Use a 22mm wrench or socket to turn the drain plug counterclockwise to loosen it. Be careful not to drop the bolt into the drain pan.
6. Allow the coolant to drain completely from the radiator. This may take a few minutes.
7. Once the radiator is empty, close the drain plug by turning it clockwise until it's snug.
8. Lower the car and remove the jack stands.
If you are replacing the coolant, you will need to refill the radiator and bleed the cooling system to remove any air pockets.
