Where is the crank sensor in a Mercedes 190e?

190E 2.3 & 2.6 (1986 - 1989)

The crank sensor on the 190E 2.3 & 2.6 engines is located on the front of the engine, just below the water pump. It is a small, black sensor that is held in place by two screws.

The crank sensor is responsible for sending a signal to the engine's computer (ECU) that the engine is turning. This signal is used by the ECU to control the fuel injection and ignition timing.

To replace the crank sensor, you will need the following tools:

6. Install the new sensor.
