Locate the brake pedal under the dashboard of the vehicle.
2. Look up through the opening where the brake pedal comes through and locate the brake light switch. It is located on the upper portion of the brake pedal mechanism.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the brake light switch.
4. Remove the two bolts that hold the brake light switch in place.
5. Remove the switch and its gasket.
6. Place a new gasket on the new switch.
7. Reinstall the two bolts that hold the switch in place.
8. Reconnect the electrical connector to the switch.
9. Test the brake lights to ensure that they work.
