Here are the general steps involved in installing a new wiring harness:
1. Prepare the car by disconnecting the battery and removing the air cleaner.
2. Remove the distributor cap and spark plugs.
3. Remove the starter and voltage regulator.
4. Remove the old wiring harness by carefully unplugging all of the connectors and untying any zip ties or tape that may be holding it in place.
5. Install the new wiring harness by starting at the front of the car and working your way back. Plug in all of the connectors and secure the harness in place with zip ties or tape.
6. Reinstall the starter, voltage regulator, distributor cap, and spark plugs.
7. Connect the battery and start the car. Check to make sure that all of the lights, signals, and other electrical components are working properly.
