Here are the steps to change the knock sensor on a Fiat Punto 1.2 16V:
1. Locate the knock sensor. The knock sensor on the Fiat Punto 1.2 16V is located on the cylinder block, just below the intake manifold.
2. Disconnect the wiring connector. Once you have located the knock sensor, disconnect the wiring connector from it.
3. Remove the bolt holding the knock sensor in place. There is a single bolt holding the knock sensor in place. Remove this bolt using a socket set.
4. Replace the knock sensor. Once the old knock sensor has been removed, install the new knock sensor in its place. Make sure to tighten the bolt securely.
5. Reconnects the wiring connector to the knock sensor
6. Test the knock sensor. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. If the knock sensor is working properly, the engine should run smoothly without any knocking sounds.
