1. Disconnect the battery. This will prevent any electrical accidents from happening while you're working on the IACV.
2. Locate the IACV. The IACV is located on the throttle body. It is a small, black plastic valve with a vacuum line attached to it.
3. Remove the IACV. To remove the IACV, you'll need to disconnect the vacuum line and then remove the two bolts that hold it in place.
4. Clean the IACV. Once the IACV is removed, you can clean it by spraying it with a carburetor cleaner. Be sure to get all of the dirt and grime off of the valve.
5. Reinstall the IACV. Once the IACV is clean, you can reinstall it by following the steps in reverse order. Be sure to reconnect the vacuum line and the two bolts that hold the valve in place.
6. Reconnect the battery. Once the IACV is reinstalled, you can reconnect the battery and start the engine. The engine may idle a bit rough at first, but it should smooth out after a few minutes.
