Why is the Ferrari symbol a horse?
Enzo Ferrari, the founder of Ferrari, was inspired by a prancing horse on the fuselage of a fighter plane flown by Italian pilot Francesco Baracca during World War I. Baracca was a national hero in Italy, and his family crest featured a prancing horse. Enzo Ferrari was reportedly so impressed by the symbol that he decided to incorporate it into the logo of his automotive company. The Ferrari horse has since become one of the most recognizable symbols in the world and represents speed, power, and luxury.
