1. Park the vehicle on level ground and apply the parking brake.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal to avoid electrical shock.
3. Locate the fuel pump access cover on the underside of the vehicle.
4. Remove the bolts holding the access cover and remove the access cover.
5. Disconnect the fuel line at the fuel pump and note any special positioning or routing of the fuel line.
6. Remove the bolts holding the fuel pump in place and take out the fuel pump.
7. Remove or replace the fuel pump seal and the fuel filter, if necessary.
8. Reinstall the fuel pump, securing it with the bolts removed earlier.
9. Reconnect the fuel line, paying attention to its initial positioning and routing.
10. Replace the fuel pump access cover and secure it with the bolts removed earlier.
11. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
12. Start the engine and check for any leaks or abnormal sounds.
