- One main fuse box is fitted, which serves as a central fuse and relay panel for all of the electrical systems.
- The fuse box is located in the engine compartment on the left-hand side.
Layout
- The main fuse box contains relays and fuses of different amperage ratings. Relays are normally open or normally closed switches, which are activated by the control unit to switch on or off the power supply to a component.
- The fuses protect the vehicle's electrical circuits against overload and short circuits.
- When troubleshooting electrical faults always check the fuses and relays first, since these are often located in accessible areas and are inexpensive to replace if they fail.
Fuse Removal
- The fuses can be removed and replaced without the use of special tools.
- To remove a fuse first depress the unlocking lever (A) and then use the fingers or a pair of pliers to pull the fuse straight up out of the fuse box.
Warning
- When replacing fuses, always replace defective fuses with fuses of the same amperage rating.
- Never fit wire or similar into the fuse box to replace a fuse, since this could cause significant damage to the vehicle's electrical system and/or a short circuit and subsequent fire could occur.
Labeling
- The fuse box is labeled accordingly so you can easily identify which fuse controls which component.
- The numbers indicate the amperage of the fuse.
