Testing the electronic control
1. Disconnect the battery. This will prevent any damage to the electronic control while you are working on it.
2. Locate the electronic control. It is usually located behind the dashboard, near the heater core.
3. Remove the cover from the electronic control.
4. Inspect the electronic control for any signs of damage, such as burnt components or loose wires.
5. Test the electronic control using a multimeter. Set the multimeter to the "continuity" setting. Touch one probe of the multimeter to the positive terminal of the electronic control and the other probe to the negative terminal. If the multimeter reads "0 ohms", then the electronic control is working properly.
6. If the electronic control is not working properly, you will need to replace it.
Testing the electric valve
1. Locate the electric valve. It is usually located near the heater core.
2. Remove the cover from the electric valve.
3. Inspect the electric valve for any signs of damage, such as burnt components or loose wires.
4. Test the electric valve using a multimeter. Set the multimeter to the "continuity" setting. Touch one probe of the multimeter to the positive terminal of the electric valve and the other probe to the negative terminal. If the multimeter reads "0 ohms", then the electric valve is working properly.
5. If the electric valve is not working properly, you will need to replace it.
Once you have checked the electronic control and electric valve, you can reconnect the battery and test the heater to see if it is working properly.
