1.) Put the car up on ramps or jack stands.
2.) Locate the oil pan. It is a metal pan that is located under the engine.
3.) Look for the oil drain plug. It is a 19mm bolt that is located on the bottom of the oil pan.
4.) Place an oil drain pan under the oil drain plug.
5.) Use a wrench to loosen the oil drain plug.
6.) Allow the oil to drain completely from the oil pan.
7.) Replace the oil drain plug and tighten it securely.
