How do you lower the backseat of a Chevy Cobalt?

The Chevy Cobalt doesn't have a fold-down backseat in the traditional sense where the seatback folds completely flat. Instead, the rear seat is a single, fixed bench. You cannot lower the backseat of a Chevy Cobalt. The only way to increase cargo space is by removing the entire rear seat, which involves removing the seat bolts.
