Where is the shift solenoid A located on a Ford Focus 2003?

1. Disconnect the battery. This will prevent any electrical shocks while you work on the car.

2. Remove the air filter housing. This will give you access to the shift solenoid.

3. Remove the electrical connectors from the shift solenoid.

4. Remove the bolts holding the shift solenoid in place.

5. Remove the shift solenoid.

6. Replace the shift solenoid with the new one.

7. Retighten the bolts holding the shift solenoid.

8. Reconnect the electrical connectors.

9. Reinstall the air filter housing.

10. Reconnect the battery.

Once the shift solenoid has been replaced, you should test the transmission to confirm it is operating correctly.
