The fusible links are designed to protect the electrical system from damage in the event of a short circuit. If a short circuit occurs, the fusible link will melt and break the circuit, preventing power from flowing through the circuit and causing damage to the electrical components.
To replace a fusible link, simply remove the old fusible link from the fuse block and install a new fusible link of the same amperage. Be sure to use a fusible link that is specifically designed for automotive use.
