1. Locate the brake fluid reservoir. It is usually a translucent plastic container with a black cap, located in the engine compartment near the master cylinder.
2. Check the brake fluid level. The brake fluid level should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks on the reservoir. If the level is low, you need to add brake fluid.
3. Remove the cap from the brake fluid reservoir. Be careful not to spill any brake fluid.
4. Add brake fluid to the reservoir. Use DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid, as specified in your owner's manual.
5. Replace the cap on the brake fluid reservoir.
6. Pump the brake pedal several times. This will help to circulate the new brake fluid throughout the brake system.
7. Test the brakes. Apply the brakes gently to make sure that they are working properly.
Note: Adding brake fluid to your car is a simple maintenance task that you can do yourself. However, if you are uncomfortable with doing this task, you can always take your car to a mechanic.
