- Phillips Head Screwdriver
- Flat Head Screwdriver
- A wall or preferably a garage door at night
Instructions
1. Park the car facing a wall or garage door. Make sure the car is on a level surface as well. Turn off the engine and open the hood.
2. Locate the headlight adjusters. There will be two plastic dials on the back of each headlight. One adjusts the vertical alignment, and the other adjusts the horizontal alignment.
3. Adjust the vertical alignment. Use the Phillips head screwdriver to turn the vertical adjuster until the beam is level with the ground. The adjuster is located towards the outside of the engine bay, on the back of the headlight housing. It should be within a black ring.
4. Adjust the horizontal alignment. Use the flat head screwdriver to turn the horizontal adjuster until the beam is centered on the wall. The horizontal adjuster is located right below the vertical adjuster, also within a black ring.
5. Test the headlights. Close the hood and turn on the headlights. Check to make sure the beams are properly aligned.
6. Enjoy your newly adjusted headlights! Driving at night will be much safer.
