- 3/8-inch drive ratchet
- 3/8-inch drive extension
- 10 mm socket
- 1/2-inch drive breaker bar
- 1/2-inch drive torque wrench
- Flat-blade screwdriver
Instructions
1. Put the motorcycle in gear and on the center stand.
2. Locate the rear axle nut on the right side of the swingarm.
3. Use the ratchet and socket to loosen the rear axle nut.
4. Locate the belt adjustment screws on the rear of the transmission. There are two screws on each side of the transmission.
5. Use the breaker bar to loosen the belt adjustment screws.
6. Turn the screws clockwise to tighten the belt. The belt should be tight enough so that it does not deflect more than 1/2-inch when you press on it with your thumb.
7. Once the belt is tight, use the breaker bar to tighten the belt adjustment screws.
8. Use the ratchet and socket to tighten the rear axle nut.
9. Put the motorcycle out of gear and off of the center stand.
