- A camshaft locking tool kit
- A torque wrench
- A set of Allen keys
- A flat-blade screwdriver
- A 5mm hex wrench
- A 10mm socket
- A 13mm socket
- A 15mm socket
- A 17mm socket
- A 19mm socket
- A 21mm socket
Instructions:
1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Disconnect the battery.
3. Remove the air filter housing.
4. Remove the intake manifold.
5. Locate the camshaft timing marks on the camshaft pulleys and the cylinder head.
6. Use the camshaft locking tool kit to lock the camshafts in place.
7. Loosen the camshaft pulley bolts.
8. Align the camshaft timing marks.
9. Tighten the camshaft pulley bolts to the specified torque.
10. Remove the camshaft locking tool kit.
11. Reinstall the intake manifold.
12. Reinstall the air filter housing.
13. Reconnect the battery.
14. Start the engine and check for proper operation.
Additional notes:
- Before you start working on the engine, make sure that it is cool.
- Be careful not to damage the camshaft timing marks.
- Tighten the camshaft pulley bolts to the specified torque. Too much torque can damage the bolts and the camshafts.
- If the camshaft timing is not set correctly, the engine will not run properly.
