- Small flathead screwdriver
Instructions:
Step 1: Locate the small slot on the trim around your rearview mirror button.
Step 2: Gently insert a small flathead screwdriver into the slot and pry the trim off.
Be careful not to damage the trim or your dashboard.
Step 3: You should now see a single bolt holding the rearview mirror button in place.
Step 4: Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the bolt and be sure not to drop it!
Step 5: Slide the rearview mirror button out of its housing and disconnect any electrical wires if needed.
Step 6: Replace the rearview mirror button with a new one and make sure it’s securely in place.
Step 7: Reconnect the electrical wires (if needed) and slide the trim back into place.
Congratulations! You’ve successfully removed your rearview mirror button.
