There is no definitive answer to this question as there is no central database that tracks the number of Ferrari cars that have been crashed. However, some estimates suggest that around 10% of all Ferrari cars ever made have been involved in a crash. This would mean that around 7,000 Ferraris have been crashed, out of a total production run of around 70,000 cars.
Some of the most famous Ferrari crashes include the death of Enzo Ferrari's son, Dino, in a 250 GT in 1956; the death of actor James Dean in a 550 Spyder in 1955; and the crash of a 275 GTB/4 by Formula One driver Niki Lauda in 1976, which left him with severe burns.
