1. Open the front driver side door.
2. Locate the black, rectangular cover located on the floor of the passenger footwell, just below the glove box.
3. Remove the cover by gently prying it up with a flat-head screwdriver or your fingers.
4. Inside the housing, you will find a white or black, rectangular pollen filter.
5. To remove the pollen filter, slide it out by pulling on the tab on the side.
6. Inspect the pollen filter for dirt and debris and replace it if it is dirty.
7. Re-insert the new pollen filter by sliding it into the housing. Make sure that the filter is seated properly and the cover is closed securely.
