1. Park your vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
2. Open your vehicle's trunk, and locate the access opening to the backup lights in the trunk. Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual for the exact location.
3. Remove the trunk lining located over the backup lights. Typically, it can be removed after unsnapping the clips securing it.
4. Locate the backup light socket. It will be a black plastic housing located behind the taillight.
5. Twist the backup light socket counterclockwise to remove it from the taillight assembly.
6. Remove the old backup light bulb from the socket.
7. Insert the new backup light bulb into the socket. Make sure it is properly seated.
8. Reinsert the backup light socket back into the taillight assembly by twisting it clockwise.
9. Replace the trunk lining and close the trunk.
