• Jack and jack stands
• Screwdriver
• 10 mm socket wrench
• 13 mm socket wrench
• Flathead screwdriver
• New rear bumper (if necessary)
1. Park your vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine. Engage the parking brake.
2. Use the jack and jack stands to raise the rear of your vehicle. Make sure the vehicle is securely supported before continuing.
3. Locate the two plastic push pins at the bottom center of the rear bumper. Use a flathead screwdriver to remove them.
4. Open the trunk of your vehicle. Locate the two 10 mm bolts on each side of the trunk lid, underneath the rear window. Remove these bolts using a 10 mm socket wrench.
5. Open the rear doors of your vehicle. Locate the two 13 mm bolts on each side of the rear wheel wells, near the bottom of the bumper. Remove these bolts using a 13 mm socket wrench.
6. Gently pry the rear bumper away from the vehicle, starting at the sides. Be careful not to damage the paint.
7. Disconnect any electrical connectors that are attached to the rear bumper.
8. Once the rear bumper is removed, you can install the new one. To do so, simply reverse the steps above.
9. Once the new rear bumper is installed, lower the vehicle using the jack and jack stands.
