Who created Mercedes-Benz?
Mercedes-Benz is a German automotive company that was created by Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler. Benz invented the first practical gasoline-powered automobile, which was patented on January 29, 1886. Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach invented the internal combustion engine in 1885 and also went on to produce the first four-wheeled automobile. In 1901, Benz & Cie. and the Daimler Motor Company merged to form Daimler-Benz. The two brands, Benz and Mercedes, were used separately until 1926 when the name Mercedes-Benz was officially adopted.
