Can you put smaller custom rims on any car?

While it is possible to put smaller custom rims on a car, this is not done often as it is generally viewed as making a car look worse, or at the very least out of place. Some may argue that it can look good on certain cars, but such cases are rare. Additionally, using smaller rims introduces potential fitment issues, meaning that the wheels may not be able to be fitted securely to the car's suspension. Smaller wheels can also adversely affect the car's handling and performance by increasing the amount of unsprung mass, causing the tires to flex more, and reducing the effectiveness of the brakes by using rotors that are too small. Therefore, it is generally not advisable to use smaller custom rims on any car.
