1. Gather the necessary tools and materials.
- A flat-blade screwdriver
- A Phillips-head screwdriver
- A T25 Torx screwdriver
- A plastic pry tool
2. Remove the interior door panel.
- Open the rear door and locate the two screws on the inside of the door handle. Remove these screws with the Phillips-head screwdriver.
- On the exterior of the door handle, there is another screw. Remove this screw with the T25 Torx screwdriver.
- Gently pry up on the door handle with the plastic pry tool. This will release the clips that hold the door handle in place.
- Lift up and remove the door handle from the inside of the door panel.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Once the door handle is removed, you will see an electrical connector attached to it. Disconnect this connector by pressing on the release tab and pulling the connector apart.
4. Remove the door handle.
- With the electrical connector disconnected, you can now remove the door handle.
5. Reverse the steps to install the new door handle.
- When reinstalling the new door handle, make sure to connect the electrical connector before securing the door handle with the screws.
