Where did Peugeot start?
The Peugeot brothers, Armand and Eugène, started out as steelworkers in the French town of Valentigney in 1810. They produced watches, clock springs and umbrellas, steel hoops for crinolines, and wire spokes for bustles. By the 1840s, the brothers had also turned to making sewing machines, bicycles and coffee mills. In 1889, they embarked on the construction of their very first car, the Type 2.
