How do you adjust the headlights on a Porsche 996?

Follow these steps to adjust the headlights on a Porsche 996:

Tools:

- Phillips head screwdriver

- Flathead screwdriver

- Torx screwdriver

- Level

Steps:

1. Park the car on a level surface. Make sure the car is pointing straight ahead and the parking brake is engaged.

2. Open the hood.

3. Locate the headlight adjustment screws. There are two screws on each headlight, one for the horizontal adjustment and one for the vertical adjustment. The horizontal adjustment screw is located on the top of the headlight, while the vertical adjustment screw is located on the side.

4. Turn the adjustment screws with a screwdriver. To adjust the horizontal alignment, turn the screw clockwise to move the headlight to the left or counterclockwise to move it to the right. To adjust the vertical alignment, turn the screw clockwise to raise the headlight or counterclockwise to lower it.

5. Use a level to check the headlight alignment. Place the level on the top of the headlight and adjust the screws until the headlight is level.

6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the other headlight.

7. Close the hood.

Tips:

- If you are not comfortable making these adjustments yourself, take your car to a qualified mechanic.

- Be careful not to overtighten the adjustment screws. This can damage the headlight housing.
