What is a car accessory position?

The ACC position, or accessory position, is one of the positions of the ignition key in a vehicle. When the key is in the ACC position, the electrical components of the vehicle, such as the radio and lights, are powered, but the engine is not running. This allows the driver to use these components without having to start the engine. The ACC position is also used to provide power to the vehicle's security system and navigation system.
