What is the proper way to adjust your mirrors on a car?

Step 1: Adjust Your Seat

- Ensure your seat is in a comfortable position and you can reach the pedals easily.

- You should be sitting up straight and your head should be against the headrest.

Step 2: Adjust Your Side Mirrors

1. Sit in the driver's seat and close your left eye.

2. Lean over to the left until your head is nearly touching the driver's side window.

3. Adjust your left mirror so that you can just see the edge of your car in the mirror.

4. Repeat steps 1-3 for the right side mirror.

5. Ensure you can see the car behind you and the lane next to you in both side mirrors.

Step 3: Adjust Your Rearview Mirror

- Sit in the normal driving position and look straight ahead.

- Adjust the rearview mirror so that you can see the entire back window.

- You should be able to see the cars behind you and the lanes next to you in the mirror.

Tips for Adjusting Your Mirrors:

- Take your time and be patient. It may take a few minutes to get your mirrors adjusted just right.

- Double-check your mirrors before you start driving. Make sure you can see clearly out of all three mirrors.

- Always adjust your mirrors when you get into a new car. The seat position, mirror angles, and even the type of mirrors can vary from car to car.

- If you have passengers, ask them to help you adjust your mirrors so you can see clearly out of all three.
