Instructions:
1. Park your vehicle in a safe location and turn off the engine. Engage the parking brake.
2. Identify the speed sensor on the transmission. It is usually located near the top of the transmission, on the driver's side.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the speed sensor.
4. Use a wrench to loosen the mounting bolt of the speed sensor.
5. Use pliers to pull the speed sensor out of the transmission. Be careful not to drop the sensor into the transmission.
6. Clean the mating surfaces of the speed sensor and the transmission with a cleaning solvent.
7. Apply a thin layer of thread sealant to the threads of the new speed sensor.
8. Install the new speed sensor into the transmission and hand-tighten the mounting bolt.
9. Use the wrench to tighten the mounting bolt to the specified torque.
10. Reconnect the electrical connector to the speed sensor.
