1. Park the vehicle on a level surface with adequate space in front of a wall or garage door.Ensure the vehicle's headlights are turned off.
2. Open the hood of the Highlander.
Locate the headlight adjustment screws on the vehicle's headlight assembly. These are usually located on the back or side of the headlight housing.
3. Use the flat-head screwdriver to turn the vertical adjustment screw clockwise or counterclockwise to raise or lower the beam. Adjust until the horizontal cutoff is about 2 feet below the center of the headlight lens at a distance of 25 feet.
4. Once the vertical alignment is complete, turn the horizontal adjustment screw clockwise or counterclockwise to move the beam left or right.
5. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to turn the adjustment screw on the headlight housing and adjust it until the beam meets the desired position on the wall.
6. Test the headlight alignment by turning on the headlights and driving the vehicle a short distance to see how the beams are positioned.
7. If necessary, repeat steps 3-7 to fine-tune the alignment until the headlights are properly aimed.
